Killers Motivation

After looking at different horror films and opening sequences, we came up with a list of reasons of why the killer in our film is killing. Here they are:

• revenge - Parents, brother and sister
• bad childhood
• boredom
• strives for control
• psycho killer
• jelousy
• like the attention
• gaurding someone
• self defence
• told to
• admiration of fomer killer (copy cat killer)
• cannibal
• possesed
• punishment (promiscuous teenagers)
• urge to kill
• mental patents
• imortal
• psycho boyfriend/girlfriend
• serial killer testing peoples lust for life
• evil child/person
• insanity
• recluses
• poltagist/ ghosts
• accident

In our opening sequence, the killers motivation will not be shown as it will give the storyline away. However we have decided that the killer in our film is a serial killer and kills teenagers. It is impotant to bear the motivation in mind whilst filming as we can make our film relate to the correct sub-genre of Horror.
